Mendl Weinstock, a 21-year-old student at the University of Akron, made a peculiar proposal to his sister, Riva, during a 2015 road trip from Ohio to Indiana: he’ll attend her wedding — whenever it would be — with a llama in tow.
He told CNN and BuzzFeed that he was annoyed that his sister was talking about her wedding “as if it was going to happen the next day.”

Riva, then 17, didn’t have any plans for getting married any time soon, but annoyed and a bit amused, she played along with the gag and took him up on his offer, per HuffPost.
Last October, Riva got engaged. Naturally, the plan that she agreed to, perhaps as a joke, got pushed into full gear.
“When you promise something, you stick to your promise,” Mendl told HuffPost.

Per CNN, Weinstock rented a llama for a whole day for US $400 — a very good boy named Shocky — and convinced a co-worker to sew a tuxedo for the llama with a yarmulke (a traditional Jewish cap) - to match - making it a llamamulke.
They situated themselves in front of the banquet hall, and took photos with guests for a half hour, BuzzFeed reported.
Even guests were in on the gag, CNN said, as some placed llama inflatables at the couples’ table.
The photo of the Weinstock siblings with their woolly companion amassed over 150,000 upvotes on Reddit.
