The Asia Television (ATV) Building located in the Tai Po Industrial Estate in Tai Po.Local newspaper Ming Pao reports that Deloitte, the liquidators of ATV have laid off all staff of the free television company. Derek Lai Kar-yan, a senior member of Deloitte has comfirmed to reporters all staff will be laid off.
Lai left ATV premises in a car, and when asked by reporters whether all staff at ATV are being let go, he replied, "yes". And then he added, "more on that later tonight."
Members of the Labour Department then entered the ATV office to process the staff members affected by this decision, which numbers more than 300.
