This Mother's Day, give your mum the gift of poetry to show her your love.

Oh, Mother

Oh, Mother. I see that you’re hurt
I see that you have been tossed and turned and people have broken you
Oh, Mother. I also see that you are strong
I see that you hold yourself ever so well with all your might
Oh, Mother. What can I do?
I see that you need me but I am too weak to see you hurt
Oh, Mother. I apologise
For I will never be as strong as you’ve always been.
Oh, Mother. I beg of you
Please let down your barricades, let the feelings overflow, even if it’s just for a while
For I, your daughter truly knows
That is not your true smile.
