This round we asked: Five alternative uses for a spoon

One way to use a spoon is to play it as a percussion instrument, banging and clanging away to make noise. Just don't do that in some posh restaurant. You'll probably get kicked out. Use the spoon as a candle extinguisher. Just remember to use a metal spoon, not a plastic or wooden one. If you don't have a knife on hand, a spoon with a thin edge could always substitute. You could also try using your spoon as a shovel for gardening. It works just as well when it comes to small potted plants. A clonk on the head with a wooden spoon hurts. A lot. So just carry one around for self-defence.

First, use it as a weapon. Have you seen the YouTube video Spoon killer? Seems ridiculous, but it really hurts. Second, join the game show Minute to Win It and play a game involving spoons. If you win, you can make your dreams come true with the prize. Third, open a door with a spoon. What happens if you leave your door keys at home? Don't worry. Use a spoon. By applying some physics theories, open sesame! Fourth, use your spoon as a mirror. Looking at my reflection in a spoon is just like looking at a distorting mirror. Fifth, use it as a backscratcher. Tie it to a pair of chopsticks and you get a home-made backscratcher.

I have quite a lot of imaginative ideas for using both teaspoons and tablespoons. When I was about 10 years old, I saw an old lady rubbing her forehead with the handle of a tablespoon - maybe it cured her headache? Using a teaspoon scoop as a way to trace and draw flower patterns is easy and fantastic. Another practical idea is to turn the spoon scoop-side up and use it as a smartphone stand. You can always use a spoon as a support for a weak plant to help it stay upright. Lastly, I like to play with a spoon when taking a bubble bath - it helps me froth up the water.

An item has often more than one use. First, a spoon can be used to pick an elephant's ear. I believe an elephant's earhole should be wide enough for a spoon to enter. Second, it can be used to scratch where it itches. Third, we can use it to cover the other eye during eye checks. Fourth, girls may use it as a hairpin, especially when putting their hair in a bun. It could definitely become a cutting-edge fashion in the coming season. And lastly, a spoon acts as a perfect distorting mirror, and you can have fun looking at your odd image during lunch or dinner.

As the zombie-obsessed freak that I am, I have come up with ways to fight for, and hopefully, save your life in a zombie apocalypse. As the unforgiving fight for survival begins, protect yourself with your mighty spoon by blinding your enemies - just use it to scoop out their eyeballs. Empty-handed, but anxious to get more supplies? Threaten your enemies with a spoon. After all, terrified victims cannot really tell the difference between a knife and a spoon, when all they feel is cold metal pressing into their skin. In worst-case scenarios, you can always use the utensil to spoon out organs from corpses for lunch. And if all else fails, spoons are great for throwing at heads.

What first comes into my mind is digging. A spoon is beyond any doubt a mini-shovel. Next time, you plant some seeds - use a spoon. Just work at a very slow pace. Also, whenever you want to hammer a nail, a spoon might come in handy. Another use is fixing your hair bun. But please note that this will attract lots of attention. Here are some more fun uses. Wanna keep yourself safe from your attackers? Using a spoon as a catapult would be the best way. In no time, you'll be flinging objects like a professional. And you can even use a spoon as a table tennis racquet. But this is only for experts.
