We want to know what students at your school are doing when it comes to volunteering. Do you have a volunteering club run by teachers? Do you organise events or fund-raising for the less fortunate? Do you have friends who independently decide to dedicate their weekends to helping those in need? We want to you to tell us about them.

We're running a reporting competition called heartBeat. What we want from you is reports (300-500 words) on a volunteering activity or group, or an individual making waves in the community service sphere. It can be something you're involved with yourself, or something you just know about. We want to hear all about it, any successes and hurdles, and other people's reactions to it. Don't forget, a good story needs great pictures.

Submit your articles to [email protected] by November 25.

If you're not yet a Junior Reporter, it's never too late to sign up. Send an email to [email protected] with "jun rep application" in the subject field. Include your first name, last name, date of birth, age, school name, phone number, and home address, and a scanned passport photo.
