We asked our readers to write an essay titled "My Day out with Shawn Mendes". Here is one of the entries. It has not been edited.

My day out with Shawn Mendes will be the most memorable experience of my life. I would start the day off by taking him to the Victoria Peak on the Peak tram which is 125 years old and a must see in Hong Kong. Victoria Peak is the highest and scenic point on Hong Kong Island. It has an extraordinary view and you can see all the tall skyscrapers. The skyscrapers in Hong Kong are just breathtaking, when the sun glimmers on the glass it dazzles the city with diamonds. Hong Kong tops the charts with the most skyscrapers in the world.

After, we would go to a traditional Chinese restaurant so he can experience the food culture in Hong Kong. I would take him to Jumbo floating restaurant in Aberdeen which serves exquisite Cantonese cosine. The most popular dishes at this restaurant are the dim sum and seafood. This is the largest floating restaurant in the word and it is a Hong Kong icon.

Next, I would take him to Ngong Ping 360 which is the cable car where you can see Hong Kong’s most favorite attractions such as the Big Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery. The Big Buddha is the world’s 2nd largest outdoor bronze Buddha statue.

Then I would take him to Pacific Place for some divine luxury shopping and then we can grab a hot drink at Starbucks to keep us going! From there we will take the MTR to the Ladies Market in Mongkok, where he can buy souvenirs to take back home.

Afterwards I would take Shawn to Soho to show him the central Mid-Levels escalator which is the world’s longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world. Then we would grab a bite at one of the restaurant in Soho. My personal favorite is the Motorino Pizzeria. Shawn is always “down for pizza” as he said in one of his tweets.

To round the day off I would take Shawn to Emack & Bolios which is Hong Kong’s favorite ice cream place. After all, it is the most “insta” worthy ice cream in Hong Kong!
