What would be the one thing you throw into Mordor?
Every Monday we ask our Brain Game contestants one interesting, thought-provoking or just plain quirky question. Their answers will be published anonymously in Young Post. Then readers can vote for their FAVOURITE answer. We will eliminate the contestant with the LEAST votes every week until we have a winner.

Contestant 1
When I first saw this question, dozens of ideas came to my mind. And then the BEST idea EVER hit me: if I could throw one thing into Mordor, it would be all the negativity in this world.
Don't you just hate it when a negative person ruins your day? We all know life has its ups and downs. But we need to stay positive to cope with life's challenges. Being negative will only make matters worse. Negativity is an evil spell. If you let it take over, your life is ruined.
I don't see why people HAVE to be so negative. Even I can be very negative at times. Sometimes I'd say something negative just to get on someone's nerves, and that someone is usually my lovely mother! But guess what? When I make someone upset or angry, I don't feel good either!
Come on! Break this evil spell and cast negativity into Mordor! The world would then be a better place.
Contestant 2
To be 100 per cent honest, I don't even have a complete idea what Mordor is, but there's one thing I'm super-certain about: if I could throw something into an imaginary world with volcanoes all over, it would be maths. The whole concept would be gone.
As a student who studied different aspects of knowledge, I would like to say that maths isn't for everyone. Not everybody is meant to be an engineer or scientist. So, how can algebra, geometry, or trigonometry help us with our lives in any way? Maths should just be thrown into another world; another dimension. It isn't like Chinese and English, which you use to communicate with the human race. In liberal studies, you develop awareness about social issues and basic psychology, and can even learn social skills. But as for maths, you simply play around with numbers. So just let it burn. I don't really care where it goes; as long as it's gone, my lifetime goal is accomplished.
